Jazz Guitar

The Jazz space.

A mesmerising world filled with amazing sound colours.

A world of magic and freedom.

As all musical genres, Jazz is a “Language” with its own rules and vocabulary .

A language that is, however, easy to deconstruct by the experienced tutor in order to become apprehensible to the student.

In the Jazz section the student is taught all the development phases of the genre. Starting with the first half to the 20th century it investigates the harmonies and phrases of every era till today.

Harmonic sequences, chord progressions, arpeggios the basic forms of Jazz Blues, rhythm changes, AABA jazz standards and more, are analysed and studied methodically in an easy way through especially chosen auditory examples.

The student assimilates fully on their instrument the Jazz forms, and uses the section material in order to develop improvisation and rhythmic accompaniment, which are the very indicative characteristics of Jazz music.

The joy of starting out
The joy of the first contact with a guitar
The harmonious and correct positioning of the guitar against the human body.
The correct placement of right and left hands on the instrument

The first touch, the first sound, the first song!

In the Beginners section the founding bond of the

A bond that guarantees and strengthens
The future development of the student.

With years of experience, teaching the Beginner’s section
Is built in order to assure the quick development
Of the novice student as well as solidifying the
